Economy or words
Hello my name is Norrison Morgan
and I am personal trainer in Rocky Mount N.C, I am also a student at Kaplan University .
I am also a new blogger, I will be blogging about tips on how to loose weight
and get healthy in addition healthy recipes that I learned over the years of
living a healthy lifestyle. But today I would like to share a term that not
related to health but it is an important term when it comes to blogging and
that term is “economy of words
The word economy comes from a Greek
word oikomos, this word means managing ones household and or acting
administrator. It also means management of one’s resources, carefully managing
money, labor, and material. This is word is something that is thrown around a
lot these day in the media on how the government is spending the revenue that
they collect from tax payers.
Economy of words is based on the
same principle as managing money, labor, and material, only in this regard it
is managing words wisely. This is a good method if you are blogging on sites
that only allow 140 characters or less, so you have to make every word count to
get your point across.
Plus using words unwisely makes you
look like an armature writer, for example, run on sentences, passive verbs, repeating
the same words in close proximity of each other, and repeating the same ideas
in the same paragraph, the idea is to be conservative with your words. You can
