Practice what you preach
I think that standard is missing today with many professionals; everything is base off head knowledge and not revelation knowledge. Head knowledge is a person reading something or accumulating knowledge in school, then turn around and regurgitate it out to someone else as though they know without a shadow of doubt that this information is right.
Revelation knowledge is when a person learns something in school or some were else, then applying it to their life and trying it out to see if this information works. And if it works how it does work? What’s the cause and affect of what I am trying? What is the best way to apply what ever it is? This is revelation knowledge something that is reveled by experience, you know that it works because you tried it.
This is the reason why I compete in natural bodybuilding shows, because I have to push things to the limit in order to prepare for the vent. When I come up this a new diet plan I try it out when I am training for a competition to see how well it works, I believe in trying new workouts and diets myself before I prescribe them to a client. Also training for a show keeps my client motivated because they see first hand how a body can change with diet and exercise. And finally clients seeing me training for these events tend to trust me a lot more because the know if I recommended something, then it works because I done it first.
